Environment-Friendly Modular Furniture

When humanity uses more natural resources and produces more greenhouse gases in a year than the Earth can replenish or absorb, the ecological "doomsday" happens. To reduce our carbon footprint, mankind continues to find the best ways to produce eco-friendly products.

We at AB Frank Interiors intend to do the same.

Being part of the grand scheme of mother nature, we normally put ourselves first before others and just google “modular furniture near me” without considering critical information. We have to internalize that, we are all responsible for creating a livable place for future generations as well. Here are simple ways on how our production of furniture is a little more eco-friendly than traditional ones.

Modular Furniture in Davao City

Carbon Emission

To understand more about carbon emission, it is important to understand the basics. In the production of furniture, carbon dioxide is produced. Along the process of carbon emission, too much of it traps greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, consequently, global warming. No matter how small carbon dioxide is produced, an accumulated number will cause damage.

To lessen carbon footprinting, the carbon dioxide emitted from the process of production until decomposition or finish product of the furniture, we use eco-friendly materials and machines.

First of all, we use engineered wood. Engineered wood is created by gluing together pieces of actual wood, scrap wood, shredded wood fibers, and/or sawdust to make items that appear and function like wood but are stronger and more durable compared to some types of wood.   With this type of material, far fewer carbon dioxide emissions have been found in contrast to mineral-based building materials.

Our design fits to fix any of our furniture. Rectification and repair is always better than throwing out your furniture to decompose and produce more carbon dioxide for trees to filter. Reducing waste materials and promoting refurbished furniture by redesigning its aesthetics is the true definition of quality modular furniture.

Health Standards

While most of you might be aware that engineered wood uses adhesives that leave traces of formaldehyde, or formalin, there’s no reason to be alarmed at all. We at AB Frank Interiors make sure that we are compliant to the wood industry’s established levels for formalin emission rate. Formalin emission is usually classified by the name of the wood. AB Frank Interiors uses two grades of engineered wood known as E0 and E1. Both standards are scientifically-proven safe from harm-causing levels of formalin.

The healthiest or safest interior plywood is E0, which is very flat and sturdy. Moisture-resistant, and laminated on both sides with a durable decorative melamine finish, E0 grade engineered wood is ideal for high-end furniture and home design. It guarantees higher impact-resistance. and less wear and corrosion characteristics.

The formaldehyde emission from E1 materials is a little higher compared to the E0 material but not that significant on health issues since it is the same as the purity standard of drinking water. This is a strong indicator that the E1 standard is toxic safe.

Non-Polluting Furniture

The more quickly a product has to be replaced, the worse it is for the environment: materials and processes are then required to build a replacement, and the old product has to be thrown away and decompose. Damage to the environment resulting from frequent replacement is avoided by building products that last.

That principle is essential to AB Frank Interior’s line of business. We build products that are: wear-resistant materials, fine craftsmanship, durable designs, and timeless style all ensure that even the matter of where to buy modular furniture in Davao would bring you to us all the time.
